The man accused of two unprovoked cuts at Grand Central Terminal Tuesday night, called out for his mother at the Christmas Day arraignment as a Manhattan judge ordered him held on $150,000 bail.

Jason Sargeant, 28, has been charged with assault and attempted assault for what prosecutors described as “incredibly serious” knife attacks on two people at the city’s biggest train station on Christmas Eve.

After his brief appearance Wednesday night, Sargeant, a Brooklyn native, noticed his mother was in the courtroom.

“Wait mom, I didn’t know you were here! I didn’t know you were here!” he shouted frantically as he was mobbed by court officers.

About 24 hours earlier, the sergeant was “yelling ‘to hell with all these people'” before slashing a 42-year-old man above the left wrist on the stairs at Grand Central’s south entrance, prosecutors said.

“The victim was bleeding profusely at the scene,” an assistant prosecutor told the court. “He suffered a deep cut to his wrist, lost a significant amount of blood, requiring a tourniquet at the scene and was taken to Bellevue, where he remains for treatment.”

The suspect’s “rant” continued as he then ran up some stairs and argued with a 26-year-old woman, Imani-Ciara Pizarro, before punching her in the back of the head and stabbing her in the neck near a turnstile. , according to prosecutors.

“He first punched her in the face, then lunged at her with the knife, causing a small cut to her neck,” prosecutors said Wednesday.

Pizarro, 26, said The Post she was on the phone with her friend and neighbor when she was attacked.

“I wish I could travel to my livelihood and not be attacked. I wish there were cops in Grand Central when I was attacked, there weren’t any. I ran for help and there was no one there,” she said.

Sargeant has three prior arrests for criminal mischief, battery and battery on a police officer, according to sources.

His next court hearing is set for December 30.
