Five robbers arrested after weapon fire in moga

Moga police arrested five members of a robbery band on Monday after a fire exchange, the recovery of an illegal weapon in their possession. Two of the accusations have suffered bullets and are undergoing treatment in a hospital.

The arrested persons were identified as Gurbhej Singh from Ferozepur, Vishal from Tarn Taran, Bobby from Fatehgrah Panjtur, Sahildeep Singh from Moga and Harpreet Singh from Kapurthala. They were searched in eight cases of five districts.

Moga SSP, Ajay Gandhi, said the gang was active in the Kot ise Khan area. The police recovered a torn car, a revolver of .32, two weapons with sharp edges and a toy weapon. The vehicle, stolen at the point of weapon from a resident of Mehal village on January 28, was used in another robbery on the same day, where the gang was robbed ₹11,700 from a petrol pump on the Amritsar road.

Acting in a stop, the police intercepted the band of the band on the Korotoana-Chug Road. The accused opened the fire, causing reprisals from the police, during which Vishal and Bobby suffered injuries to the feet. Both receive medical treatment.
