2 victims identified in Augusta Separate fatal collapses

Augusta, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Coroner’s Office in Richmond County identified two men who died in separate traffic accidents on Friday.

Josiah Cadle, 68 years old, from Hephzibah, was killed in a accident on Friday afternoon in block 5100 in Henderson Road, according to coroner Mark Bowen.

Cadle’s vehicle was traveling to the east on Henderson and leaving the road, crashing into a tree.

Cadle was pronounced dead on the spot at 14:20

Also on Friday, a driver died on Friday morning, when his vehicle went after he lost control over him.

Wayne Roberts, 74, from Hephzibah was pronounced dead at 10:13 am Wellstar/MCG Hospital, after the accident in a parking lot 3100 from Peach Orchard Road.

Roberts lost control of his vehicle, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, who caused him to get over his head, deputies told us.

The accidents were among Four who claimed four lives in 18 hours in CSRA Friday and Saturday. The others were:

  • An Aiken man was killed in a single vehicle on Rushton Road, near Mosley Road, in Aiken County, just before Saturday morning. John Boulware, 22, was driving to the east in a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado truck, when the truck left the right side of the road and hit a tree.
  • Linda Rochelle Walton Dixon, Sylvania, died after Her vehicle collided with her head with another Friday morning On the Georgia 24 Highway, near the 14 Mile marking, in Burke County. Three vehicles were involved in the accident.
