Four suspects – including a Mexican national undergoing a deportation order – is facing drug charges, and another is on the lam after almost 300 kilograms of suspected cocaine – worth about $ 29 million – were confiscated by Police officers from GTA and Gravenhurst, according to the OPP.

The members of the weapons and OPP bands executed search warrants on December 13 and again on January 16-17 at Mississauga, Toronto, Ajax, Markham and Gravenhurst.

The officers, who participated in Project Shearwater, found the suspicion of cocaine and more than $ 50,000 in Canadian currency.

“This amount of cocaine is a significant seizure and is the result of an excellent work to investigate the dedicated members of the OPP and our partners,” the head of the SUPT. Mike Stoddart. “These investigators work countless hours to maintain the safety of our province by discouraging, detecting and disturbing the criminal activity, keeping our communities safe and safe.”

The four arrested persons face a total combination of 11 accusations.

Javier Luis Martinez Hernandez, 29, from London, was accused of holding the revenues of properties obtained by crimes under $ 5,000 and holding for cocaine trafficking.

Jason Tsang, 40, from Markham, Sajjad Wadiwalla, 42, from Ajax, and Philippe Payeur, 48, Toronto, is experiencing drug trafficking.

An arrest warrant was issued for the fifth man, Brian Nelson, 38 years old in Toronto, who is desired to commit a crime of inhydriting – cocaine traffic.
