Aylet Zurer compares Regina Ahinoam and Daredevil’s Vanessa Fisk (exclusively)

David’s house He tells the story of the ascension to the biblical figure, David, who eventually becomes the most famous and famous king of Israel. The series follows King Saul, sometime, while he falls the victim of his pride, when, in the direction of God, the prophet Samuel anoints an unlikely teenager, who broke out as a new king.

As Saul loses his power over his kingdom, David is on a journey to discover and fulfill his destiny, sailing love, loss and violence in the man’s yard that is intended to replace. As one leader falls, another has to rise.

Ali Suliman (Arthur King) plays King Saul with Aylet Zurer (Daredevil: Born again) taking over the role of his loyal wife, Queen Ahinoam.

We have recently talked to both actors and began to ask Ayetle how the Queen is compared to her iconic role as Vanessa Fisk. Meanwhile, Ali talks about the game of a king who loses his power – and health – before they both approach how they explored the unique dynamics of their characters.

You can watch the full interview with Aylet and Ali in the player below.

Aylet, one of my favorite roles is Vanessa Fisk; What attracts you to roles like that and Queen Ahinoam, in the sense that she is a strong, probably even smarter woman than the strong men she stands for?

Aylet: Don’t say that out loud! (Laughs) In fact, it is very interesting because I was thinking about it and in what way they are similar and in what way they are not similar. I think the resemblance comes from their intensity and passion for their man. And how loyal they are. They are both very, very loyal women, until a blame. Vanessa, on the one hand, is much more intrigued by power and brutality. While Queen Ahinoam is not at all interested in brutality, but she has to go there to protect her family, kingdom, throne and husband.

And Ali, as both his power and health begin to slip, what did you find most interesting about exploring King Saul’s despair and what you could say is a descent into the bastard?

Ali: The whole trip seemed very interesting. The whole arc starting from nothing, being something, being everything and then, at one point, you lose everything. What is left? I have to fight for what I got as first king for his people. He has obtained a lot for them and from a date because of his disobedience, he will lose everything he has built. The whole journey and twisting of the character with the way it is built, I find it very fascinating to play, and the journey is very interesting. I see it as a gift for any actor to bring this … not every day you can find this complex character with the way it is written and developed.

There is a deep love between the king and the queen; How about that relationship and dynamic you were both the most excited to collaborate and realize during the trip we see going here?

Ali: We are fighting all the time! (Laugh)

Aylet: (Laughs) We liked to work together. We had fun so well. I really appreciated Ali year of what he brought and the intensity and emotions. The space it gives, I felt very safe with it. I hope we get to do it again.

Ali: Yes, the same thing here. I was really blessed to have Aylet as a partner. Is truly amazing. I think we have a very good chemistry together and we were truly open, especially as partners we helped each other and listened a lot. The directors were also there for us and gave us a free hand to bring any ideas we had. This was the best environment to create and bring a good job and good choices. Brought very good vibrations to the show.

Aylet: It was a truly powerful collaboration in this production. Sometimes we would go forward and back on lines and changes in the scriptures. We would have ideas to throw things around and it is very great to have the space to do this and to explore. It is something new and we try to create something that exists, but it does not really exist. There are a lot of interesting dynamics in creating it.

David’s house will be available on Prime Video on February 27.
