The Opeloousas Police has the arrest of man in the pharmacy attempted burglary

Sf. Paroch Landry – Opeloousas police arrested a man on Tuesday, after trying to enter the Lagniapppe pharmacy on the South Union Street. The officers say that Jean Anderson, 2232 Ledoux Circle, Opeloousas, fled from the scene, but was found at several blocks and arrested.

Investigation and arrest

An Opeloousas police officer noticed Anderson trying to enter the pharmacy around 1:07 I was addressed, Anderson ran, leaving the vehicle behind an abandoned house. Subsequently, the officers found him with wounds in accordance with the attempt to interrupt and arrested him without any other incidents.

Anderson was accused of attempted simple burglary of a pharmacy and resistance to an officer.

Link to other robberies

The investigators obtained a search warrant for Anderson’s vehicle and found evidence to bind him at the Glenn pharmacy and another pharmacy in Evangeline Parish. Opeloousas police shared the results with the Parish Sheriff’s office St. Landry, who is carrying out his own investigation.

The police response

The chief of the Opeloousas police, Craig Leblanc, congratulated the officers for their quick response.

“Due to the diligence and persistence of our officers, we were able to catch the suspect and gather critical evidence to support further investigations,” Leblanc said.
