According to a WTVC reportRoyer’s grandfather reported to the police on Monday night that Royer was last seen with his mother and her pit at the Hixon’s home warehouse, Tennessee. The police statement obtained by WTVC said that Royer’s mother had returned from the store to find Royer, her car and the pet who disappeared.

It was reported that Royer was then arrested for shopping near Hamilton Place in Chattanoga, Tennessee, about 11 miles away from where he was supposed to disappear with his mother’s car.

After his arrest, WTVC reported that Royer contacted his grandfather to tell him he was arrested. Asked where the car and the dog were, Royer said he would not tell his grandfather where they were unless he would post his connection.

The car was found by a police officer, with the dog closed inside, next to the place where Royer was initially arrested.

Royer remains reserved in the Hamilton County prison at this time. No amount of bonds has been established.
