Fakhar Zaman excluded from the champions trophy

Fakhar Zaman, the old Pakistan’s opening old man, was excluded from the trophy of the ICC champions, after suffering a back injury during the team’s opening match against New Zealand, sources confirmed on Thursday.

According to team sources, the doctors advised the left beat to rest completely, pronouncing it from the rest of the tournament.

The Pakistan Cricket Council (PCB) is expected to make an official statement soon on its team replacement.

Zaman suffered the injury as he was playing in the first match on the Karachi National Stadium. Trying to stop a border from Shaheen Shah Afridi’s bowling, the opener managed to save the ball, but fell painfully near the border rope.

He was seen tight -and the lower back before signaling for a replacement player.

The physiotherapist of the team participated in him near the border before escorting in the dressing room for additional assessments. However, following medical evaluations, doctors recommended rest, ending -actually participating in the tournament.

Pakistan, who won the throw and opted to deal first in front of New Zealand, will now have to rethink the combination of opening for the remaining matches of the competition.

This development comes as a major delay for green shirts, because Zaman was expected to play a key role in their top order. PCB is likely to announce their replacement in the coming days.
