American woman under arrest by new -born thrown from Paris Hotel Window

A young American woman in a European trip was arrested after throwing a new -born on a window of the hotel in Paris, killing the child, the authorities said on Tuesday.

It is assumed that the child was thrown from a window on the second floor of a hotel, according to the Paris prosecutor. The emergency respondents rushed to a newborn at a hospital, but the child was pronounced dead.

The mother was traveling through Europe in the US with a group of young adults. She was taken to a hospital for medical treatment after birth and was arrested there, officials said.

The woman was traveling through an organization based in Massachusetts, called Ef Gap Year, who coordinates over the seas travel, confirmed a spokesman for EF.

“We are deeply shocked and saddened by this tragic event, and our thoughts are with everyone affected during this difficult period,” Adam Bickelman said in an Email statement.

“We cooperate fully with the local authorities while continuing their investigation,” the statement shows. “The counseling support was offered to all the members of the group and we extend our support to the affected families.”

The statement did not call it.

In Paris, the Child Protection Police Unit was in charge of investigating the case as a minor under 15 years.

Authorities take into account the possibility of refusing the pregnancy, a condition in which a woman remains not knowing or denied about her task until the workforce.
