MSP Shoot involved by Flint’s investigation officer

Flint, Mich. (Wnem) – The Michigan State Police are investigating an officer involved in Flint on Wednesday morning, February 26th.

According to Flint, on Wednesday, at 10 o’clock, the officers served a crime warrant in the 2400 block of E. Pierson Road from the Rollingwood Manor apartment complex.

The officers were trying to arrest a 25 -year -old suspect when he tried to run a vehicle to the officers, the city said. In response to the threat, the shootings were pulled by officers.

The suspect was arrested and was taken to a hospital for medical evaluation, the city said.

It is the protocol of the Police Department for MSP to carry out a complete and independent incident investigation, the city said, adding more details will be provided as they become available.

“The city of Flint remains employed with transparency and public safety,” the city said. “We ask for patience as the investigation is conducting.”
