UPS employees among suspects in the T-Mobile theft ring who stole $ 500 in electronics, says the sheriff

Three suspects were arrested in a large-scale theft ring that targeted high-value UPS deliveries in Palm Beach County.

According to the Sheriff’s office in Palm Beach County, UPS employees from Riviera Beach Distribution Hub stole more than $ 500,000 iPhone, tablets and accessories, interfering with T-Mobile local shops.

The investigation started on October 31, when the representatives of T-Mobile and UPS contacted the sheriff’s office. T-Mobile said they started reporting “substantial losses” in July.

Investigators said T-Mobile and UPS placed GPS tracking devices in Decoy packages, leading them to stolen goods and catching who was responsible.

The sheriff’s office said they had discovered 16 T-Mobile packs at a Hub UPS in Riviera Beach.

“The investigation identified a fence operation using a recording studio and a repair shop for the mobile phone, emptied Studios from Lantana, as a front for selling stolen property,” said the sheriff’s office in a statement.

Supervisory films recorded the UPS Sheldon Brown driver, 38, handing Giffon White packages, 36, an UPS supervisor. Another suspect, Christopher Palmer, 36, was later found using one of the stolen iPhone.

Detective said UPS workers have created false tracking numbers to cover theft.

The sheriff’s office performed surveillance, obtained video evidence, and used registration card followers to arrest Brown, White and Palmer.

The judge who supervised the first appearance of suspects in court Wednesday noted the “systematic nature” of the case and called it “crime against humanity” to steal from an employer.

All suspects are experiencing charges of crime, including conspiracy to commit rockets, grandeur and treat in stolen properties.

During the execution of a search warrant at Goalmind Studios, the detectives said they recovered the stolen property. They said the owner of the business remains in freedom.

The sheriff’s office said their investigation is ongoing.
