Did the justice deny? White deputy is not charged with the fatal shooting of the exonerated black man

The deputy of a white sheriff in Georgia will not face criminal charges for the fatal shooting of Leonard Allan Cure, a black man released from prison following exemption. The decision comes after a local prosecutor considered that the deputy use of the “reasonable” force.

Buck Aldridge officer stopped at the intersection 95 for speed in October 2023. Despite attempts to use non -lethal methods such as a taser and cane, cure would have respected the arrest. Prosecutor Keith Higgins said the force is “reasonable objective”, so no accusation has been justified.

The lawyer for civil rights, Ben Crump, representing the Cure family, criticized the decision as a failure of justice. The cure was exempted in 2020, after 16 years in prison for armed robbery. This case is added to a number of incidents that feed protests against racial injustice and US police brutality
