MPs in Georgetown County catch two robbery suspects after pursuit

Georgetown County, SC (WCSC) – The Sheriff’s office in Georgetown County said that two of the three armed suspects were arrested following a tracking vehicle tracking on Wednesday evening.

The spokesman of the sheriff, Jason Lesley, said that two men and a woman are occupants of a vehicle that was initially followed by the Georgetown Police Department for an armed robbery of a motel.

The deputies then took over on Highmarket Street once the vehicle has passed the limits of Georgetown.

Then they held stop sticks on Gapway Road, near Garrison Road, which made the vehicle over the head.

Both men fled from the scene, but the woman was arrested.

One of the men was caught with the help of K-9 Pelle, but it is believed to be hiding in the woods.

Deputies ask the residents in the Gapway-Grarison Road residents to block their doors and windows and call 911 to report any suspicious activity.
