Meanwhile, sources said today that the center has officially addressed the US government to help the Shinde family make an American visa.

Also, talking to India Today TV, Neeleam’s brother, Gaurav Kadam, said the accident took place in Sacramento, California, on February 14 on “the same route he was going for daily evening walks.”

“She was hit by a rear vehicle, and the driver stopped, without even stopping to check what happened. It is a hit and running case. She has suffered serious injuries on her head, hands and feet. She is curved in a coma,” he added.

According to the information, a person was arrested on the accident, and Neeleam’s family was informed about the accident two days later by the roommate, who is also from Maharashtra.

He had to undergo immediate surgery due to head injuries. Following her condition, the hospital sent an email to the family, asking them to come to the US as soon as possible.

Kadam continued to say that they were in constant contact with the hospital on NEAM’s state, but also criticized the fact that there are no slots for a programming to request an immediate visa.

“Because of this, we faced a lot of difficulties. We had no option to reserve an appointment. Doctors say that her condition is easy to improve, but she stays in a coma,” he told India Today TV.

Talking to the media -the new media, Neeleam’s uncle said that the family had taken to the Passport Office to get an immediate visa and it also approached the Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol, former parliamentarian Shriniwas Patil, and former Mla Balasaheb Patil (Ambii from Satara).

“But they (the family) were left to disappoint. There was no help from the government so far,” he added.

On Wednesday, NCP (SP) Supriya Sule requested the intervention of the Minister of Foreign Affairs S Jaishankar in this regard.

The labeling of Jaishankar and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a Tweet on Wednesday, Sule said: “Student Neelam Shinde met with an accident in the US and is hospitalized in a local hospital.” Her father, Tanaji Shinde, from Satara, Maharashtra, India, urgently needs to visit her daughter because of a medical emergency. Tanaji Shinde has requested an urgent visa in the US and requires assistance. “
