The center is looking for the US urgent visa for the Indian student’s father after entering a serious accident

The Indian government has officially addressed the US for an emergency visa for the Neelam Shinde family, a student from Satara district of Maharashtra, who is fighting for her life in an American hospital, after a serious road accident, sources said on Thursday.

Family fights for urgent visa

Shinde’s family asked for the center’s intervention after trying to get a visa to visit it in the US. The accident took place on February 14, and a person was arrested in connection with the incident. Her family, however, was informed only two days later about the roommate.

Shinde suffered critical head injuries, hands, feet and chest and had to undergo emergency surgery for a head injury. The hospital that treated -sent an E -mail to his family, urging them to travel to the US as soon as possible.

Adding to their pain, Shinde’s mother died just a few days ago, making the situation even more awful for her father, Tanaji Shinde, who struggles to secure a visa to be on the side of her daughter. The family requested the government assistance not only for the visa, but also for any necessary medical assistance.

Political leaders enter

Neeleam’s uncle said that, despite the approach of several officials – including the Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol, former parliamentarian Shriniwas Patil and former MLA Balasaheb Patil – the family has received no government assistance so far.

Meanwhile, the leader of the NCP (SP), Supriya Sule, asked the Minister of Foreign Affairs S Jaishankar to intervene and help ensure an urgent visa in the US for Shinde’s father.

Jaishankar’s labeling and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MY) in a post on Wednesday, wrote Sule,

“The student Neeleam Shinde met with an accident in the US and is hospitalized in a local hospital. Her father, Tanaji Shinde, Satara, Maharashtra, India, urgently needs to visit her daughter due to a medical emergency. Tanaji Shinde applied for an urgent visa in the USA and requires assistance.”
