Spotify claims Apple does not make enough to conform to DMA

Spotify claims that Apple does not respect DMA enough. Daniel Ek, CEO of the Swedish company, said Cupertino stops and delays, and he asked the European Union to apply the law already adopted.

The conflict between Spotify and Apple dates from a process in which the American company was responsible for banning other platforms in advertising cheaper offers outside the iOS application. This practice obliges users to buy through the App Store, thus reducing developers’ profits.

Apple said Spotify will not keep its position strong on the European market without the App Store, because it uses “Apple tools and technologies” and “the benefit of Apple’s trust with users.”
