The fifth man arrested as part of the investigation Anne South Stabbing accused – The Irish Times

A fifth man arrested during the investigation into the circumstances around the death of the victim Quham Babatunde in Dublin was accused of attacked another man in the city center that night.

Mr. Babatunde, who was 34 years old and from Nigeria, died after being stabbed on Anne street, in the south, in the center of the city, around 3 in the morning, on February 15th.

It happened after a row started among people leaving a Valentine’s night music event.

Gardaí found him unanswered and was in a hurry at St James’s Street Hospital, where he died a short time later.

Bakuani Diavisi (25 years old) from Cardy Rock, Balbriggan, Coă Dublin, was arrested on Wednesday and taken to Pearse Street Garda station.

He was accused of attack that caused injury to another man named on Dawson Street, Dublin 2, February 15th.

Mr. Diavisi presented on Thursday in front of Judge John Cheatle at the Dublin District Court

The Ciara Tyrell guard said that Mr. Diavisi “did not answer” when he was accused and added that he intends to oppose the bail.

However, Defense Lawyer, Evan Moore, said: “We reserve the position in relation to the bail”, and he asked to postpone as the case until March 4.

Judge Cheatle withdrew the accused in arrest to appear at the Cloverhill Court at this time.

He also mentioned Gardaí must obtain directions from the director of public prosecution, and the defense must give the prosecution of 48 hours if he intends to request bail.

The legal assistance was granted after the Defense lawyer stated that his client “does not work”.

Dressed in a black shirt and sleeveless jacket, Mr. Diavisi, who had not yet indicated a plea, did not address the court, but threw a kiss in a woman in the public gallery, as the hearing ended.

Mr. Babatunde was living in the Ballyogan accommodation center in South Dublin, waiting for his international protection request.

Four other men have already come before the courts under charges related to his crime or other alleged incidents that night.

On Wednesday, Sean Forde (23 years old) with an address at Bath Road, Balbriggan, Dublin, was accused of violent disorder at Anne Street South, on February 15, and refused the bail at Dublin District Court.

Three co-insults have not yet made bail and remain in arrest.

Ryan Ndede (23 years old) from Boroimhe Birches, Swords, Dublin, was arrested by PSni in Belfast after climbing a ferry in England. He was accused of killing Quham Babatunde and was withdrawn in arrest, after appearing on Friday at Belfast’s courtyard.

On February 19, Rory Carr (21 years old) from Na Greine, Seapoint Lane, Balbriggan, was withdrawn by the Dublin District Court, under connected charges. Mr. Carr was accused of attack that caused Mr. Babatunde injury and his friend Adeotola Truth at Anne Street South and violent disorders.

A day earlier, at the same yard, Jeffrey Bangu (21 years old) in Cardy Rock Crescent, Balbriggan, was accused of appearing injury to Mr. Babatunde at Duke Lane and Mr. Adevilehim. He was accused of violent disorders and a knife during a fight at Anne Street South.
