Grass Valley Police arrest suspect wanted in attempted bank robbery and reinforced robbery in Nevada County

March 13, 2025 – Grass Valley, CA – officials of the Police Department of Valea Grass report that yesterday after -My, around 4:30 pm, the officers responded to a bank robbery on Sutton Way. The suspect fled the branch while the officers answered. There were no injuries to the bank’s staff or citizens. The officers have started interviews and examine the photo materials from the business and throughout the area.

Less than ten minutes after the bank’s incident, the officers were sent to block 200 in East Main Street for another reported robbery. Through rapid investigation, the officers linked the two incidents and identified the suspect that Joshua David Morris, 26 years old from Nevada County.

GVPD, with the assistance of the Sheriff’s office in Nevada County, arrested Morris at his residence, near the Allison Ranch Road, around 8:00 pm

This remains an active investigation, because officers and detectives continue their work in the night. We are grateful that no one was injured during the committing of these acts.
