Arapahoe deputies are searching for armed and dangerous suspect in the robbery of a Centennial jewelry store

DENVER (KDVR) — Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies they were looking for a man who allegedly robbed a jewelry store Monday afternoon.

Law enforcement officials said they need the public’s help trying to find a male suspect who robbed Rocky Mountain Jewelry and Personal Loans in Centennial around 4 p.m. Monday. Deputies said he entered the store, threatened an employee, stole jewelry and then fled on foot.

As of 5:37 p.m., deputies set up a perimeter and were searching the area with K-9 units and drones. The suspect was last seen running west in the 7400 block of East Arapahoe Road at South Quebec Street.

Law enforcement officials described the suspect as a Hispanic man in his 20s with a thin build. Deputies said he had dark brown or black hair and was wearing a black baseball cap, blue jacket, red pants with a white stripe down the side and a white printed face mask.

Deputies also noted that he has a tattoo under his right ear.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who recognizes the suspect or who saw him is asked to call 911 immediately.
