Three people were found shot to death in the Bronx Wednesday night in what is being investigated as a possible murder-suicide, according to police and sources.
The trio was found around 9 p.m. on Southern Boulevard near Prospect Avenue, with photos showing body bags removed from a home, as well as a gun next to a large pool of blood outside.
A man and a woman, both 57, were pronounced dead at the scene, the NYPD said.
Both had been shot in the head, and the man had also been shot multiple times in the body, police said.
A 34-year-old man was also found with a gunshot wound to the head.
He was pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital.
The younger man was found with a gun by his side, according to sources.
It was not immediately clear how the victims are related to each other or what caused the shooting.
It was being treated as a suspected murder-suicide, according to sources, although the NYPD said it was too early to tell.
Identification of the victims is pending family notification, police said.
No arrests had been made as of Thursday morning, police said, while the investigation continues.
