15 -year -old boy seriously injured in accidental shootings

A 15 -year -old boy has serious injury after an accidental shooting on Saturday, according to the captain of the Police Department Elyria, Bill Lantz.

Police was called to block 1100 in Melvyn Lane in Elyria for reports about a shot at about 15:37

Lantz said upon arrival, the officers entered the house and found the teenager with a shot wound.

Doctors responded on the spot and provided medical care.

The teenager was taken to the University Hospital Elyria Medical Center, but later transferred to the Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital university hospitals.

Lantz said a preliminary investigation found that shooting seems to be accidental.
