Police investigating burglary in Lyon County, Kentucky

Kuttawa, Ky. (KFVS) – The police are investigating a residential burglary that took place on Sunday morning in Lyon County, Kentucky.

According to the office of the sheriff in Lyon County, around 2:51, on Sunday, February 23, Shannon Oliver deputy was sent to a residential burglary in Kuttawa.

Upon arrival, the suspect fled from the spot after he kicked to the front door to the residence where a family of four lived.

Authorities say a person in the house had a minor injury, which did not require medical treatment when the door was forced.

The office staff of the sheriff worked throughout the day by interviewing potential witnesses and collecting evidence before identifying a suspect living outside Lyon County.

The efforts to locate the suspect on Sunday afternoon -amy ended without arrest. There is no known connection between the suspect and victims in this incident.

The sheriff’s office said that a criminal complaint will be requested through the district court that accuses the suspect with a second -degree burglary.

The investigation continues by the Sheriff’s office in Lyon County and the working group of violent Kentucky crime in western Kentucky.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect will be publicly identified once a mandate is issued by the court or the suspect.
