Thuc, an office worker from Phuc Tho, Hanoi, said that her son was informed by his teachers that additional classes had been closed, as Moet requested. She is worried because her son will participate in the high school final in a few months.

Her daughter, an eighth student, had three extra lessons a week at her school, but the courses stopped on February 14th.

Because there are no additional classes, Thuc’s son bought textbooks and registered for online teaching courses to prepare for the high school final. However, he is worried because he is not sure if his self -study will be sufficient.

Meanwhile, her daughter is not very good at school and always needs private guidance, so she is afraid she will be left behind without additional lessons.

Previously, both children went to additional classes at school led by their teachers and participated in private guidance lessons in mathematics, literature and English elsewhere, with the schooling SRD50,000 on the lesson (1.5-2 hours). Thuc spent VND1.6-2 million for the additional classes of each child.

Given the income of Thuc and her husband from the tailor, this was a significant expense. However, the thought of their children stopped additional classes made it uncomfortable.

“If they do not attend additional courses, I am afraid that they will stay behind their colleagues and not work well in exams,” Thuc said.

Thuc and other parents asked teachers to resume additional courses to help students examine the final school, but there was no answer.

“The monitor teacher told us that he would report the parents’ proposal to the school principal and inform us if he could receive the approval. If the director says “No”, the students will have to examine themselves for the exam. “

Bich Hang, a parent in the Ha Dong district, said that all the additional classes and day care after -were stopped on February 15th.

“I still want my son to attend after – -being, because it means he will not have to fight with the evening courses. If he stays home after -he can spend time on television and on the Internet,” he said it.

“In addition, with parents working at standard office hours, it is uncomfortable for children to be at home after -watching the TV or explores the Internet,” Hang said.

When Hang’s son was in the sixth and seventh grade, he participated in additional courses at school after -Amiaza and attended private courses outside school in the evening.

Starting with the eighth grade, he has only participated in additional school sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday after -with the schooling VND9,000 for the period. Other private guidance lessons on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday after -Amiaza cost VND80,000 each.

“The additional classes at school were voluntary. Now, teachers have stated that, from February 15, all after – -and -year hours, day care activities and skills courses will be stopped. Many parents feel worried. The curriculum is heavy and the self-study is difficult for children, “Hang said.

The mother said she has three children, including the largest now in the eighth grade, the second in the fourth grade and the youngest in kindergarten.

“We cannot receive support from our parents, so it is always a headache for us to organize time for children,” she said.

Other parents in Hanoi were also informed about the cessation of additional classes.

Nhu Trang, a parent in the Hoa Iduc district, said that her son’s additional class stopped a week before Tet Holiday. A mother whose son is a high school student in the Hoankiem district said that all the additional classes were stopped, but teachers help students examine for the high school final.

Tran Thi Yen, the director of the Van Quan Gymnasium School in Hadong, said he showed his parents at the end of the semester, who meets all Moet’s legal documents related to the additional delivery and informed them that all the new regulations should be observed strictly.

Dinh Vu, a physics teacher at a high school in the Phuc Tho district, told Vietnamnet that many parents asked teachers to resume additional courses, but had to say not because of new regulations.

“In fact, many teachers still lead underground, but this is very risky, because, if they are caught, they face disciplinary actions and suspension of jobs. Honestly, many teachers feel quite discouraged by the new regulations ”, explained VU.
