2 persons killed in accident I-75 in Detroit

Two people were killed in a four cars accident on I-75 in Detroit on Sunday afternoon, Michigan State Police said.

It happened near Mack Avenue around 3:00 pm on February 23.

Police said a 58-year-old woman of a Ford Crown VIC, with a passenger, hit a Chevy Cross, who had three occupants, forcing Chevy in a KIA telurid with four occupants. Kia then hit a Jeep Wrangler, who had an occupant.

The guilt driver did not brake before the accident, the police said.

A 50 -year -old man from Novi, who was a passenger in Ford, was pronounced dead on the spot, according to a press release.

A 56 -year -old woman from Pharmington Hills, a Kia passenger, was also pronounced dead on the spot, the statement said.

Police reported that many others have suffered minor injuries.

The accident closed a portion of I-75 near the accident site for several hours.

The police intend to present the investigators’ report to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
