The man arrested in connection with Zanzou claims that the police “tortured”

Johannesburg – the man arrested on the torture of the patrons of the Zanzou Night Club in Pretoria claims that he was “tortured” by police officers.

His legal team made these observations during his first appearance at the Court of Pretoria Magistrates, Monday afterwards.

He was arrested by the Metro Police in Johannesburg last week for his alleged involvement in the torture of the employers at the Night Club.

The media was forbidden to film or call it, because an identity parade is still to be made.

Wearing a face mask, with his arms crossed and his head bowed, the man accused of torturing the owners of Zanzou entered the dock at a courtroom full of upset members of the public.

He stood behind his legal team, who quickly informed the magistrate that their client was tortured by police officers.

The man is looking for medical care, saying he is experiencing severe physical pain.

His legal team claims that he has refused treatment, as the bruises in the alleged torture are not visible to the naked eye.

He is about to return to court next week for an official bail.
