BJP transforming the attack of the police station into a “political weapon”: Karnataka Interior Minister

The Interior Minister of Karnataka, G. Parameshwara, accused that the state BJP is using the case of the police station reported in Mysuru City as a political weapon.

Speaking with reporters in Tumakuru, where he arrived at Panchayat Hall district for the Revision of the Progress District District Progress, he claimed that the police took the necessary measures on the collision that took place at the Mysuru Police Section.

Regarding the case of drugs found in Mangaluru prison, he said the authorities were trained to carry out a thorough investigation.

“The investigation will determine who provided drugs and how they were smuggled. Whenever illegal activities are detected, justice measures are taken immediately. A new prison building is under construction in Mangaluru and, once it is completed, Prisoners will be relocated, “he said.

Speaking of language-based confrontations along the Karnataka-Maharashtra border, he advised people in Maharashtra to be caution. “Such incidents should not be left to escalate. Whenever such cases appear on our side, we take measures. It is not fair for the inhabitants of Maharashtra to act against the law,” he warned.

Regarding his resignation from the ministerial position, he explained that his comments were based on the discussions with the party workers in Koratagiers. “There is no need to give it a lot of significance or to create unnecessary speculation. My political future is in the hands of the people of Koratagiers, who chose me. I spoke in alignment with their expectations,” he clarified.

Asked if he aspired to become the chief minister, he said: “I do not want to talk about it. The issues related to the chief minister and the KPCC president are not publicly discussed. In our party, we send our opinions to the high order.
