Man in court under accusations of family abuse after being found Bag

A man appeared in court on charges of domestic abuse, after a bag contained in several articles in Coleraine.

The 40-year-old, whose name we do not publish to protect the identity of the alleged victim, appeared on Monday at the Court of Coleraine magistrates, through the video link at the Waterside Police State Custody Suite.

He is accused of engaging in a behavior that would cause a woman with whom he was personally connected, to suffer physical or psychological injury between September 2024 and February 13, 2025.

He is accused of false prison, common attack and keys and bank card of the same woman in January 2025.

The man is also accused of the theft of an adult toy, holding knives and hammers with the intention of committing sexual aggression.

The criminal prosecution confirmed additional charges, including the disclosure of a private sex or video to someone, without consent and criminal damage to a door.

A police constant told the court that he thought he could connect the accused.

Following is the discovery of a bicycle and a bag that contains cable ties, blue surgical gloves, a mask, an adult and condom toy on the Strand road, Coleraine on February 13, 2025.

The police were warned after a housing owner found them near their garage at the bottom of their garden.

However, there was no request for bail, a defense lawyer said that his clients compete all the problems presented to the court.

The accused was withdrawn in arrest for four weeks until March 24, 2025.
