The woman dies after her car overtur

A 27-year-old woman heading for Gaya in Bihar, lost her life after her car met with an accident in an attempt to escape desperately, while being watched by uhong men from the West Bardhaman district From the West Bengal, early Monday.

The deceased identified as a Sutandra Chattopadhyay, a professional in event management, died after her vehicle collapsed while trying to sting a group of young people. The incident took place near Panagarh in the West Burdwan district.

Chattopadhyay and her colleagues were traveling to Gaya when they stopped at a petrol pump, where a group of young people began to abuse it. Choosing to ignore them, they continued the journey, but the young people followed them aggressively. While trying to block Chattopadhyay’s vehicle, a collision took place. In the effort to escape, the driver identified as Rajedeo Sharma entered a service road, but lost control.

The vehicle overturned after it collapsed into a public urinary and an scrap iron store, resulting in the death of Chattopadhyay on the spot, while four others suffered minor injuries. The accused fled from the scene, but the police confiscated his vehicle and launched an investigation. The district collector also visited the accident site.

According to an eyewitness, the car that follows Chattopadhyay’s vehicle had a drunken occupants who behaved wrong with a woman who was sitting on the front chair, harassed her and tried to reach her.

The police confirm no teasing

Sutandra Chatterjee, 27, was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. Two workers were also injured and hospitalized, while the driver and another worker survived.

Sunil Chowdhury, the police commissioner for the Durgapur-Asansol Police Commission, was addressed to the incident Panagar, saying that no teasing was involved in Eve and that it was just a reckless case. He explained that the incident took place on the GT Road, not on the national highway and was captured on the CCTV materials.

The police believe that the confrontation started during an attempt to overcome, and the accused could have run away from the accident. They stressed that no accusation of incorrect conduct were mentioned.

Reacting to the incident, BJP MP Rajya Sabha, Samik Bhattacharya, said: “There is a complete absence of law and order in the West Bengal. It is a total breakdown of constitutional equipment.”
