Sidney Whitmarsh, accused of fatal fatality in Edwards, set for processing

Sidney Whitmarsh, the 24-year-old Edwards resident, who faces accusations arising from a Hit-and-Run fatality on January 7, 2024, has a notified district on March 12.

Whitmarsh will hear the accusations against her and will make a plea at that time, said Judge Rachel Olguin-Fresquez during an hearing on February 19th.

“If not a plea agreement, then we will analyze the possible test settings,” said Olguin-Fresquez.



During a September hearing, Whitmarsh’s lawyer, Coleen O’Leary, said the conditions in which Whitmarsh was offered a 30 -year penalty they were unacceptable at that time.

“Thirty years for a woman who has no criminal record, zero,” O’Leary said at a September hearing. “So we fight in this case.”

Ledezma has a disposition hearing scheduled for March 17 at Eagle County Court. It is facing numerous accusations, including the modification of a deceased human body, accessory for a crime, changing evidence and hiding death.

On February 5, Whitmarsh’s father, Cean Whitmarsh Sentenced to 120 days of electronic monitoring at home and four years of supervised evidence after he pleaded guilty by the accessory for the crime for a crime.
