Sunlive – two arrested after passing by the police station



Two people were arrested for robberies in Waihī and Waihī beach areas After passing by the local police station.


In total, four people are before the courts after three separate robbery in the area between January 23 and February 5.


Clothing, food and a car were stolen in incidents.


A 31 -year -old woman and a 40 -year -old man, both KarangahakeThey were jointly accused of theft from a holiday park.


A 48 -year -old Auckland The man was accused of theft from a separate holiday park.

A 24 -year -old Waihī man was accused of burglary of a residential property.


All four have appeared in court and will reappear at subsequent data.


Sergeant Waihī, Nigel Sanderson, said the police want to thank the members of the public who reported the incidents promptly.


“The information they provided us allowed us to act quickly -and two of the accused were arrested as they passed the Waihī police station,” he said.


“It is horrible to know that someone has invaded your house or has gone through your property and it is great to get this result for the victims.”
