The Winnipeg police arrested seven in a counter-exploitation sweep of the day to be aware of the trafficking of persons, providing support to the affected persons

Seven arrested in targeted operation

During the operation:

  • Seven men (ages between 27 and 50) were arrested for obtaining sexual services for examination under Criminal Code of Canada.
  • All individuals were launched on businessesaccording to legal requirements.
  • Several individuals who worked in sexual trade were offered access to community assistance services.
