Mysterious fish kills 4 in taraba, 2 hospitalized

Four people were reported dead, while another two are currently taking treatment after consuming a poisonous fish in Kashimbila, the Takum local administration area of ​​Taraba.

Zagazola Makama, an expert in counter-instruction, focused on the Lake Chad region, revealed this in a post on his handle X.

Makama said that the sources of information informed him that the incident took place after six full shepherds: Abdul Juli, Sule ABubakar, Adamu Mato, Saidu Payo, Yusuf Musa and Ibrahim Haruna, left in a fishing expedition to a river nearby, on February 22.

The security expert said that he was gathered that, after caught and cooked the fish they caught, they consumed without knowing a poisonous species, which leads to severe diseases.

“They were in a hurry at the Kashimbila Primary Health Center, where four of them Juli, Abubakar, Mato and Payo were confirmed by the service doctor.

“The two survivors, Yusuf Musa and Ibrahim Haruna, are currently receiving treatment at the same hospital,” Makama said.

He also revealed that the incident was reported to the Police by a Chidawa village of Isiaka, adding that the police have submitted the bodies to the hospital mortar, while the incident investigations are in progress.
