The Seattle Judge stops Trump’s refugee relocation order

A federal judge in Seattle stopped President Donald Trump’s attempt to suspend the program of admission of refugees in the country. The decision appeared from a process initiated by prominent organizations for refugees, challenging Trump’s executive order that stopped the federal refugee relocation program, claiming that he undermined the Congress for admission to refugees.

The arguments of the administration claimed that Trump’s actions were in his powers to refuse the entry of people whose presence was considered harmful to the interests of the United States. However, US district judge Jamal Whitehead decided that the president’s actions have actually canceled the Congress’s intention on the refugee program.

The applicants have included major refugee assistance groups, such as the International Refugee Assistance and Individual Refugee Project. They claimed that Trump’s order has seriously prevented the essential services for refugees, including those already established in the US. Trump’s administration has previously reduced the admission to refugees during his first term, further politicizing the Bipartizan program.
