The man arrested in redding because he had threatened strangers with a weapon

A 23 -year -old man was arrested on Tuesday, after showing a weapon to foreigners and threatened to shoot them, according to the Redding Police Department.

Immediately after midnight, the officers responded to the reports of a man with a weapon on the 1300 Hartnell Avenue block. The report indicated that two adult victims, a man and a woman, were addressed by two male suspects on foot.

A suspect was identified as a 23 -year -old Taizon Segar from Redding. The police said that Segar took a small gun out of his pocket, showed him about the victims and threatened to shoot them. The victims did not know the suspects, the police confirmed.

The victims managed to escape and called 911 and no injuries were reported.

The officers sought in the area and quickly located two men who match the descriptions of the suspects, one being a segara and the other one 17 -year -old man. RPD said that, due to his age, the name of the minor suspect was not released.

Both suspects fled on foot through a parking lot and over a chain connecting fence in the BJ Tire Shop secure lot from 1250 Hartnell Avenue. Segar continued over another fence in the public parking lot, while the minor remained in the secure area, the police said.

The suspects surrendered when they were confronted by officers. The police said that Segar was found with a semiautomatic pistol loaded by 9 mm at the time of its arrest. The victims positively identified the segar as the individual who marked the weapon and threatened them.

Segar was reserved in the prison in Shasta County, on the charge of criminal threats, attack with a firearm, marking a firearm in public, wearing a firearm loaded in public and resisting arrest. The minor’s suspect was reserved in the rehabilitation unit of minors in Shasta County, to withstand arrest.
