Redieved Call menu WhatsApp for chats and groups: What is new? Google pixel 9a set for launch soon: Google will keep Google

WhatsApp has separate vocal and video call buttons, which can sometimes lead to unintentional calls. The new update will combine these options in a single menu, providing additional call-related tools.

WhatsApp works on a redesigned call menu for individual and group chats, which makes it easier to manage calls and prevent accidental calling. This feature, observed in the latest Beta WhatsApp for Android (version 2.25.5.8), is currently being developed and will be available in a future update.

The function of the call link and the new call menu

In a previous update (WhatsApp Beta 2.24.21.29), the platform has introduced a shortening for creating and sharing vocal or video call links directly from the chat interface. Now, WhatsApp focuses on improving the accessibility of calls by redesigning call buttons in chats and groups.

Currently, separate vocal and video call buttons are placed in the upper applications bar. Their touch immediately initiates a call, sometimes leading to unintended calls. To address this, WhatsApp develops a unified call menu, adding an additional confirmation step before making a call.

More control over calls in groups

The new call menu will provide users with greater control over group calls. Instead of calling all members simultaneously, users will be able to select specific participants before starting a call. This improvement will cause the group to resort more flexible and convenient.

Quick call links for easier sharing

In addition, the redesigned menu will include a shortcut to generate call links, allowing users to share them quickly without opening the call tab. This simplifies the process of inviting participants to a call.

Reducing accidental calls

One of the key advantages of this update is the minimization of accidental calls. Currently, touching the call button immediately forms a contact or group, which can be uncomfortable. The new menu will ask users to confirm their call option first, making sure it does not accidentally initiate a vocal or video call.

Launch and availability expected

Because the function is still in development, it is not yet available for beta tests. However, WhatsApp is expected to gradually extend it to a future update. Stay up to date for multiple updates because WhatsApp continues to improve their call functions!
