Prison, caning for the administrator of chat groups who shared the material of the boys who have been sexually abused

Singapore: A man with a predilection for child pornography has created five -six chat groups for the exclusive purpose of sharing abusive materials with men between the ages of five and 18.

34 -year -old Jong Chen Shiung would chair these groups, removing members who have failed to share materials that fall into his provisions.

Jong has been closed for six years and received nine reed strokes on Tuesday (February 25).

In addition to distributing children’s abuse materials, Jong has affected his distribution and held thousands of videos and images for his own watching.

Jong pleaded guilty for four charges related to these crimes, with four other similar charges considered for his conviction.

Malaysia worked as a material freight manipulator in Singapore, when it was found material of abuse on children in its electronic devices. The police attacked the residence in Singapore and revealed several devices that contain obscene materials.

Jong had searched, deposited and watch pornographic videos and images while working and living in Singapore since 2016.

He recorded accounts at Telegram and Viber chat platforms for the exclusive purpose of accessing chat groups where he could view the obscene material.

In total, Jong joined between 20 and 30 chat groups that shared children’s abuse and pornography materials in Telegram, Viber and WhatsApp.

He was invited to be an administrator for some of these groups. As an administrator, he threatened to remove those who do not respect the conditions of sharing only materials or porn abuse. He will also download videos or images for his own consumption or to share them in other chat groups.

Jong has also created five -six chat groups for the exclusive purpose of sharing explicit materials with men between five and 18 years. He eliminated the members who did not comply with the conditions he stipulated.

Three of the chat groups he created on Viber each had between 144 and 460 participants at the time of his arrest.

In addition to chat groups, Jong has downloaded explicit videos or images from web sites. He also sent private messages to young boys who were participating in chat groups, asking to share obscene videos about themselves.

The police found at least 2,469 videos and 1,157 images that presented sexual abuse on children. They presented the faces and genital organs of the children, some of them being linked, fighting or otherwise.

The criminal prosecution requested a term of imprisonment between 70 and 73 months and eight to 12 Jong reed blows.

“Offenses involving children’s abuse materials are particularly equal due to the extreme vulnerability of the victims. The direct injury of the children involved is clear,” said the public prosecutor Santhra Aiyyasamy.

Mrs. Santhra added that the evil caused to children in some videos was great.

In the mitigation, Jong, who represented by Videolink, said he was the only child in his family and needed to support his sick mother in Malaysia.

“I hope I can be released earlier so that I can return home and take care of it,” Jong said through a performer.

“I am an offender for the first time and I realized my mistakes. I promise to fix my ways and I will not repeat such crimes in the future. Please forgive me and give me the chance to teach a new leaf ‘he added.
