Raquan Delvonta Avery, aged 19, was accused of malicious wounds, shooting in a building, malicious shooting, using a firearm in committing a crime and holding a hidden weapon.

The filming took place on the 3500 block of Towne Point Road on February 23. Authorities say they got video images of the incident, which led to Avery’s arrest. They saw Avery be followed by a 17-year-old man and an 18-year-old man when he entered a business. Then there was a battle between the 17-year-old man and Avery-Police says this is when Avery initially shot both nameless men.

The release then says that Avery shot the 18 -year -old man again, while fled from the scene.

When the police arrived, they found the two men suffering from weapon wounds who endanger life. Were taken to a hospital and now remain stable.

On Monday, Portsmouth police have shared supervisory videos of two suspects they thought were involved in shooting. They confirmed that Avery was one of the suspects seen in that video.

Later that day, Portsmouth police watched Avery’s vehicle. After obtaining a search warrant, Avery’s vehicle was confiscated. The police say he has found many firearms and evidence from shooting after looking through his car.

Avery was also arrested and accused of unrelated shooting in the city of Chesapeake.
