Mystery in Belize: Three American women die in the luxury resort on the beach

Belize police have identified three American women who were found dead on the weekend in a beach resort, authorities announced on Monday. Officials examine deaths as potential drug overdoses.

The victims were identified as a 23-year-old Kaoutar Naqqad, 24-year-old imane Mallah, and Wafae El-Arar, 26 years old. I’m sitting in the Royal Kahal Beach resort. No additional details have been launched.

Housing staff tried to contact them several times on Friday, after the surveillance materials showed them that they entered their rooms on Thursday night and did not return, the police said in a statement. After receiving no response on Saturday morning, the staff used a main key to enter the room, where women were found still.

The exact cause of death remains unconfirmed. However, the first respondents said that women were found with foam on their mouths, which suggests a possible drug overdose.

The police did not report signs of forced entry or visible wounds, and the officers found snacks, liquids, vapors and other electronic devices in the female room.
