Former teacher of Catholic School WA arrested for sexual abuse videos of children ages 1

Everett, Wash. – A 32 -year -old teacher for Archbishop Murphy High School (Ashs) in Everett has been accused of sexual crimes involving very young children.

According to King County judicial documents, John Dot was arrested after investigators discovered several files downloaded on his computer that contained pornography explicit children in video and image. The documents say that many of the victims were between 4 and 7 years old, some are probably as young as 1 year old.

“He said he does not find the content with children who wake up sexually and has no sexual interest in children, but it is interesting to know that he does something illegal,” the documents are shown.

Doty would have told investigators that he had downloaded the abuse material as part of his “crime game” and described the discharge, watching and distributing children’s abuse materials as “… very stupid, but still palpitant, (such as)” oops, I made a crime “.

The prosecutor’s office claims that Doty has downloaded and distributed the images between June and July 2024.

According to a statement issued by AMHS, Doty was placed on administrative leave last week after his arrest and was fired on Monday after the parents were announced.

The AMHS statement confirmed that Coty was employed at school, but did not say what he learned. The school also stressed that Doty’s arrest is not related to his employment at school

“The Department of the King County Sheriff notified us on Thursday that Mr. John Doty was arrested. He was immediately put on administrative leave and then ceased. On Monday, we informed his students and their parents that he was no longer employed.

Based on the information that was provided by law enforcement, the arrest is for incorrect behavior that is not related to its employment to Archbishop Murphy. All AMHS employees are examined using a background verification and full preparation in the safe environment throughout their employment.

Doty was accused of treating minor representations engaged in a sexual explicit behavior in the first degree and holding minor representations engaged in sexual explicit conduct in the first degree.
