Two women said they were dazzling, no accusations against former pastor have been filed

Kansas City, Mo. – Two women are upset after learning that Bobby Hawk, former pastor and president of the Blue Springs School Council, will not face criminal charges for what women claim was an improper behavior by Hawk.

Jackson County Prosecutor, prosecutor Mlesa Johnson, made the announcement on Wednesday, saying that the status of limitations prevents them from lodging accusations against Hawk.

The case began last summer, when a woman said that Hawk would have taken care of her at his church when he was 12 years old.

KSHB 41 Anchor/investigator Caitlin Knute interviewed women who came last year and claimed to be Hawk’s victims.

Knute spoke to women Wednesday about the decision not to follow Hawk.

“I certainly talked,” said Destiny Bounds. “As if we all feel that we are all shocked. Yes, it was, I mean not even 24 hours and I think some of us are just trying to process. What is our next move? What are our next steps? I mean, yesterday was about us, do we even answer?

Ali Terwillger told Knute that she was not aware of the decision and received a text with the news while she was for coffee with friends.

“My heart has fallen,” Terwilliger said.

Women were planning to submit a civil trial last year against Hawk, but they were told to wait until the criminal investigation is completed.

Johnson said that her office would reopen the case if new evidence was given.

Terwillger said he didn’t regret that she came with her story last year about what Hawk would have done.

“I don’t regret it at all,” she said. “I will take the pain and take the difficulties, because these women deserve to fight and their stories matter.”

The examiner of independence first reported News that no accusations will be filed.
