Taxi driver loses license for weak behavior near school

The Council’s licensing committee has decided that the driver’s behavior is not that of “the right and appropriate person” to hold a taxi license and revoked it.

Councilor Carol Mold, a portfolio holder for neighborhoods at Cornwall Council, said: “We will not tolerate any abuse of our staff or public members.

“The behavior of this individual was totally unacceptable.

“We expect taxi drivers to comply with statutory taxi and private rental standards.”

She said that drivers who do not meet the standards risk losing their license.
