The man dies after “drunk”, the doctor operates on him in Amethi, filed file

Amethi:

A doctor at a hospital in Amethi was accused of conducting surgery in a man while he was drunk. After the man died, his family members started a protest outside the hospital on Thursday, which continued for many hours, after which an investigation was ordered.

Shivram Mishra, a resident in the police area in the Mau village in Gheriganj in Amethi district, was admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital on Wednesday at 4.30 pm, on Wednesday, after crying chest pain. His nephew, Suraj Kumar Mishra, said he was taken to the Emergency Section, where Dr. Sanjay Dwivedi asked them to do some tests.

After the tests, it was told that there is a problem in the nerves. Then, a group of Dr. Dwivedi, Dr. Satyndra Tiwari and Dr. Apoorva Mishra took our grandfather to the operating theater. There were no appropriate arrangements. We could see people running with oxygen cylinders and gloves.

Dr. Dwivedi fled the hospital after the protest began.

The son of Shivram Mishra filed a complaint on Thursday, and Munshiganj police recorded a thread against the three doctors, as well as one of their colleagues, Prashant Dwivedi. The statement against the other doctors is that they were neglected in the fulfillment of their duties.

The Circle Officer Gheriganj, Akhilesh Verma, said: “I received a complaint and a first information report (wire) was filed. The body was sent for a post-mortem and the additional investigation is activated.”

After the family protested, Gheriganj blocks Pramukh Umesh Pratap Singh, who is the Local Rakesh Pratap Singh brother, he also arrived at the scene. Amethi medical officer, Anshuman Singh, was a team of doctors in three members to investigate the charges.

The license of Sanjay Gandhi Hospital was suspended in 2023, after a woman died while undergoing biliary stones. The woman’s family claimed that she died from an overdose of anesthesia and that a case was registered against three doctors, including the CEO of the hospital.
