Resolution coming – Ipman provides update to planned nationally planned closure in terms of N100BN link

The Independent Association of Petroleum Marketers in Nigeria, Ipman, asked its members not to proceed with the proposed closure at national level on the request to combat N100 billion unpaid by the Nigerian government.

This comes in the conditions in which Ipman has stated that he is engaged with the Midstream and downstream oil regulatory authority, NMDPRA, to solve the outstanding connection requests.

Ipman’s spokesman, Chinedu Ukadike, revealed this in a statement on Thursday.

According to him, there are insurances from NMDPRA and the Federal Ministry of Oil Resources, that payments will be eliminated soon.

He said: “I was guided to approach the concerns about the delay of outstanding retention that many of our members are currently experiencing. Please make sure that the National Executive Committee, NEC, from Ipman, led by Alhaji Abubakar Shettima Maigandi, is actively employed in solving these issues as quickly as possible.

“I was in communication with Midstream Nigerian and the Aval Oil Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA and the Federal Ministry of Oil Resources. And they expressed the commitment to address these pending requests and other issues.

“They assured us equally that the payment will take place in a short period.”

We remind this this Monday, Ipman issued a seven -day ultimatum to close operations over the request for unpaid connection worth N100 billion.
