Thalassemia International Federation to collaborate with TSCs for awareness and treatment today

As part of these initiatives, a superior delegation of the International Federation of Thalassemia, which includes health professionals in Italy and Greece, visited and evaluated the facilities and services at the hospital and the research center in Kamala, a dedicated medical assistance unit for patients with Talasemia, operated by TSC in Shivaraly.

Thalassemia International Federation to collaborate with TSCs for awareness and treatment today


Hyderabad: The International Federation of Thalassemia (TIF) will collaborate with Thalassemia and the Sickle Cell (TSCS) society based on Hyderabad, to fight genetic diseases and to work to spread awareness about its prevention and care.

As part of these efforts, a higher delegation from the International Federation of Thalassemia, extracted from the medical assistance units in Italy and Greece, visited and inspected the facilities and services at the Kamala Hospital and the Research Center, the Center for Health Care for Patients with Talasemia led by TSC.


According to TSCS, the team of medical visitor to be made up of teachers Antonio Piga and Dr. Dimitrios Farmikis, associate professor, the Medical School of the University of Cyprus, Greece, was impressed and praised by the exclusive health care unit for children with Talasemia.

This partnership will help us to expand our magnitude and impact, offering life rescue treatments and several patients with thalassemia from India and beyond, ”said Dr. Chandrakant Agarwal, president, TSCS.
