The plastic surgeon accused of killing Largo lawyer appeared in front of the judge

Clearwater, fla. – The plastic surgeon accused of killing a Largo lawyer appeared before a judge in Pinellas county on Thursday morning.

Tomasz Kosowski is experiencing an accusation of murder of the first degree in Steven Cozzi’s death, Largo lawyer.

State prosecutors seek death punishment. Largo police said Kosowski killed Cozzi at his Largo law office in March 2023.

Police said Cozzi left the wallet, car keys and mobile phone behind. Also, the investigators said that Cozzi was never seen leaving the building or leaving the vehicle behind.

Investigators think he was killed in the toilet. The two were linked to a file of the civil court.

Kosowski’s defense lawyer filed a motion in January, asking a judge to issue transcripts of the great jury’s testimony.

The motion asked a judge to “carry out an inspection in the Chamber of Chamber of the Great Jury’s testimony and, subsequently, to release the transcripts in defense in support of justice and to establish if there are material inconsistencies between the testimony of the great jury and other curse tests given in this case and/or to determine if any representation”.

Judge Bulone considered this motion in court on Thursday.

The prosecutors claimed that at least 95% of the witnesses in this case were deposited, and these deposits are available for defense and public.

“There has been no statement nowhere that they have made a testimony inconsistent in any of these forms from March 21 to this day,” the state said.

Judge Joseph Bulone denied the defense motion.

“I would grant your motion to inspect myself, because I think in cases of death penalty, the smart work to do is always give things in abundance, but I honestly do not even think it is close, so I will refuse the motion,” said Judge Bulone.

The defense also submitted motions related to the illegal searches of his house and vehicle. A judge is expected to hear these motions at a later date.

The two sides are expected in court in mid -April.
