The fatal accident in Magalia leaves one dead, another seriously injured

Magalia, California – California Highway Patrol (CHP) in Chico investigates an accident on Skyway Road in Magalia, who ended in the death of a 25 -year -old man from Mentons and left Jocelyn Medina in San Dimas, 20 years old.

Officials said the accident happened just before midnight, on Thursday, February 27, when an Lexua IS-350 2007 left Skyway, right north of Rosewood Drive, and collapsed into a tree, dividing the vehicle by half.

Both the male driver and Medina were evacuated from Lexus due to the fact that they did not wear seat belts, CHP believes. The male driver suffered fatal injuries, and Medina was transported to the Encoe Medical Center for the treatment of major wounds.

The cause of the accident, including whether alcohol or distracted leadership has played a role, it remains under the investigation.
