Three accused in Eden Prairie Storage Unit Epracrie

Three people were accused of a burglary of December 26, 2024 at several storage units in Eden Prairie, according to judicial documents.

Jiri Edwards Odvarka, 44, and Mikki Rebecca Broen, 39, both from Eden Prairie, and Shayne Elliot Gill, 32, are experiencing an accusation of a second grade crime involving the holding tools. Gill’s address is listed as Monticello in the criminal complaint, but the judicial documents also list it as a resident of Bloomington.

According to the criminal complaints filed with the Hennepin District Court, an employee of a storage facility in block 7900 in Eden Prairie Road reported that he has found locks cut on 10 storage units and a hole cut in the rear fence of the installation. Investigators found fingerprints and sled tracks on snow leading to a nearby parking lot.

The mobile records revised by the authorities showed the messaging by Gill Broen at the beginning of December 25 on the screws that work defective and the urgent request of a trailer. Supervisory films from the apartment building of Broen and Odvarka on Glory Lane captured Odvarka and Gill making several trips to and from the location, moving articles that match the stolen ones. The photos from the storage unit showed pieces in accordance with the bicycle and the suspect trailer.

A search warrant executed at the apartment on February 13 led to the admission of Odvarka for investigators that he helped transport the stolen property, while Gill sold it. Initially, Broen refused involvement, but later claimed that the objects are from “garbage dives”.

The bail for Odvarka was set at $ 50,000, while the bail for Broen and Gill was set at $ 40,000 each. Broen is about to be in court on March 18, while Omnibus hearings are scheduled for Gill on April 3 and Odvarka on April 10. If he is convicted, everyone is facing up to 10 years in prison and/or a fine of $ 20,000.

Gill is facing additional charges of crime in an unrelated file filed on January 14 in Hennepin County. These charges include receiving stolen properties, two charges of verification forgeries, financial transaction card fraud and identity theft.

The case comes from a January 12 incident in Bloomington, where the police tied Gill to a stolen vehicle, fraudulent checks and several stolen financial cards. His next appearance in court for these charges is April 3.
