The Breesport man found and arrested years after committing burglary

Breesport, NY (WBNG) – The Chemung County Sheriff’s office announced the arrest of a resident that committed a burglary in 2023.

The 49 -year -old Michael Derragon defendant from Breesport was found by an officer in a general parking lot on $ 27. The officer was aware of the pending accusations against Deragon.

In March 2023, the Criminal Investigation Division of the Sheriff’s Office investigated a burglar on Mallory Hill Road in Veteran.

The investigation led to the arrest of Shawn Mitstifer, from East Sullivanville, and Kyle Menio in Vanettan, as well as the recovery of dozens of firearms stolen.

The accusations were pending against Deragon for his participation in burglary.

Deragon was arrested for burglary in the third degree and scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
