The new Hartford police bust leads to three arrests

New Hartford police arrested three men under drug charges following a Drug attack on Thursday morning in the village.

According to the Chief of Police in New Hartford, Ron Fontaine, on Thursday, February 27, 2025, the members of the Criminal Investigation Division of the New Hartford Police Department and the Uniform Patrol Division executed a search warrant on 63 Oakdale Ave. in the village in terms of suspicious drug activity at the residence. The police confiscated amounts of cracked cocaine, drug scales and drug packing materials during searching. As a result, the police arrested three people under multiple accusations.

Todd Williams, 52 years old;

1) 1 Number of pl.220.16 – Criminal possession of the controlled substance 3 – B -PEONIA

2) 1 number of pl.220.03 – Criminal possession of the controlled substance of 7 -a-

3) 2 PL 220.50 charges – Criminal use of drug parafernal in 2 – – class – crime

Jazmond Davis, 42 years old;

1) 1 Number of pl.220.16 – Criminal possession of the controlled substance 3 – B -PEONIA

2) 1 number of pl.220.03 – Criminal possession of the controlled substance of 7 -a-

3) 2 charges of pl 220.50 – criminal use of drug parafernal in that 2 -a class – crime

Desmond Washington, 48 years old;

1) 1 Number of pl.220.16 -Criminal Pose of the Controlled Substance 3 -B -Phelonie

2) 2 PL 220.55 charges – Parafernal Criminal Possession in Grade 1 – D Crime

3) 1 number of pl.220.03 – criminal possession of the 7 -A -A -A -A -A -A -A –

4) 2 PL 220.50 charges – Criminal use of drug parafernal in 2 -under 2 Class A -Delice


According to Fontaine, all three men were processed to the new Hartford Police Department, under the above accusations, and then were transported to prison in Oneida County to be withheld for referral to the Centralized referral in Oneida County.

The head of Fontaine said: “The Police Department of the New Hartford would like to thank the special investigative unit of the Police Department in Utica and the narcotic unit of the Sheriff in Oneida county, for their assistance in this investigation, which led to the closing of a residence used to do drugs in our neighborhood.”
