Armed robbery suspects from Dearborn County arrested in Kentucky

Aurora, Ind. (WXIX) – The Office of Dearborn County Sheriff (DCSO) announced on Friday the arrests of two suspects in connection with a reinforced robbery at a general dollar in Aurora.

Robert Harden III, 27, from Aurora, and Samantha Brewer, 40, from Lawrenceburg, were arrested in Kentucky, after the Lexington police told DCSO that a car that matches suspects was observed in the area.

On February 14, deputies from Dearborn County were called to the Dollar General at 10768 Gatch Hill Road for a report of an armed robbery that has just taken place.

Detectives say a male suspect entered the store, scored a knife and asked for money from the cash register. Then the suspect took money from the register and fled the store.

The deputies explain that they checked the security photo materials from a nearby house and saw a car driving on Gatch Hill Road, extinguished the lights and parking shortly before the robbery took place.

“Immediately after the time interval of the robbery, the headlights of the vehicle light up and a topic that is heading to the vehicle is observed,” the DCSO press release states.

The male suspect then entered the car passenger side, and the car started to leave for us 50, DCSO explained.

During the investigation, the detectives say they discovered that the suspect’s car had been stolen from the Hillcrest motel by a man now as Harden.

According to the sheriff’s office, Motel staff said Harden is a resident and an employee, who was not seen on Motel lands on February 12.

On February 18, the Lexington Police Department contacted the sheriff’s office, stating that the suspect’s car was found.

Lexington police identified the driver as Brewer and the Passenger as Harden.

Detectives in Dearborn County traveled to Lexington and, after talking to both suspects, found that Brewer and Harden were in the area of ​​the Dollar at the time of the robbery.

“Brewer thought Harden was meeting someone to sell drugs. Harden had Brewer Park on the Gatch Hill Road side. Harden then went to the Dollar General. A few moments later, Harden came to the truck. Harden got on the passenger side and Brewer left, ”DCSO press release said.

At this moment, Brewer and Harden are under arrest in Lexington, confirms DCSO.
